Full Description
{2} To the south-west is a well-marked hollow way up to 2m deep ('e' on earthwork plan), which runs down the hillside and disappears beneath the waters of the large ornamental lake which was constructed in the C19th. This hollow way represents the main western street of the village, and is shown on the 1671/2 map.
