Monument record 3220/0/1 - Romano-British Enclosure

A double ditched D-shaped enclosure of probable Iron Age or Roman date is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. Located in a field S of Greenfield Lodge, the D-shaped double-ditches are up to 3 metres wide and enclose an internal area about 21.5 x 28.5 metres at its widest. Located in a field about 382 metres S of Greenfield Lodge and centred at SP 91134 60353, the D-shaped double-ditches are up to 3 metres wide and enclose an internal area about 21.5 x 28.5 metres at its widest. The enclosure forms part of a much larger ‘clothes line enclosure’ (NRHE 347139).
