Full Description

{2} Earthworks of the north ends of four closes, bounded by low scarps only 0.25m high. The south ends of the scarps have been destroyed and only very disturbed ground, possibly later quarry-pits, remains. Three of these closes had buildings standing within them at their south ends in 1746, one of which survived until the late 19th century though the other two had been demolished by 1840. One of the central closes, which was empty in 1746, had a small building within it in 1840 which also survived until the late 19th century.
Immediately north of these closes, in the next paddock, is a series of low scarps and shallow ditches, probably the remains of close boundaries, but the east part has a large irregular pit dug into it. There is also another building shown on the 1746 map. This had disappeared by 1840.
