Full Description
{3} The remains of a neatly built wall following an E-W alignment lay just within the area of earthworks. The full thickness of the wall was not exposed but the visible portion showed it to have been faced with flat laid limestone around a rubble core. It comprised at least five well-laid courses. No pottery was associated with the wall. It was not shown on the 1715 map of the village, so probably pre-dated it.
