Monument record 5709/0/2 - Possible Enclosure, Undated (Morphed Aerial Archaeology Interpretation)

Crop/soilmark: Poor quality photography. Archaeological evaluation did not find any evidence for this feature.

{1} Cropmarks; a series of ditches including the former north to south aligned field boundary; also possible ring ditches; linear features including recent boundaries and possible ring ditches and a windmill-mound like structure. However all are suspect; NCC Aerial Photograph: SP4936/007.

{2} The cropmarks do not appear to be visible in the survey. This is unusual given that cropmark features of the kind indicated here should be detectable in a magnetometer survey, and particularly so on a magnetically responsive soil as is present at the site.

{3} No sign of this feature was seen in the trial trenching.
