Full Description

{1} Irregular four-sided ditched enclosure with rounded corners; 80m x 50m; possibly Iron Age.

{2} Rectilinear earthwork; probable homestead moat. Internal height of bank c.1ft. Ditch profile is well marked and suggests a medieval date. No definite entrances defined. Visible on aerial photographs as a rectangular enclosure with a small annexe to the south-west. Levelled, ploughed and now under pasture. No surveyable remains. Prior to ploughing in 1950 the ditch depth was 4-8ft according to local farmer. OS suggests a native Romano-British farmstead.
