Monument record 422/0/9 - Possible medieval windmill mound

A possible medieval and/or post-medieval windmill mound is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304).

{2-4} A possible medieval and/or post-medieval windmill mound is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located in a field about 180 metres west of Manor Farm, Whitfield and centred at SP 60615 39406, an earthwork C-shaped earthwork bank is up to 4 metres wide and about 13 metres wide and is located amongst a complex of medieval shrunken village earthworks.
