Full Description
{1} The cropmark traces of a rectilinear enclosure centred at SP 5013 4051 seen on aerial photographs taken by English Heritage in July 2006. The enclosure measures approximately 53m x 58m and is defined by a single ditch with straight sides and curved corners. A modern field boundary bisects the enclosure. This site one of a group of rectilinear and sub-circular enclosures thought to be Iron Age or Roman in date were seen centred as a group at SP 5020 4050.
These enclosures lie in close proximity to one another across three modern fields and may be associated with each other. This site was originally mapped and recorded during the Northamptonshire NMP project, (maps and records held at Northamptonshire HER).
