Summary
A slight mound, said to be 72 feet in diameter, observed in Ham Meadow, Passenham, on the flood plain of the Great Ouse. A later reference to a mound 3 metres in diameter may be to the same mound, though the size disparity is not explained.

Full Description
{1} Undated round mound observed as cropmark. A light-coloured solid circle observed at SP77783935. Probable round barrow.
{2} During survey the base of a circular tumulus 72ft in diameter was ascertained by levels. It has been eroded almost to invisibility by flooding. Fieldname: Ham Meadow.
{3} Mound (SP 777393), lies immediately S of Passenham, on the flood-plain of the Great Ouse, on alluvium at 66 m. above OD. The mound is circular, 3 m. in diam. and less than 1 m. No date or function can be assigned to it.
{4} Prehistoric burial mound, gravel islands and later earthworks, evaluation directed by B Dix.

{9} No surface remains
{10} Identification of the smaller mound recorded by auth 4 with that recorded by auth 1 is not certain. Check the RAF photographs for confirmation.
