Full Description

{1} Pit alignment, detected during aerial photography.

{2} Cropmarks; pit alignment running south-west to north-east; NCCAP :SP7740/013-15 + SP7640/005;

{3} Magnetometry survey confirmed the presence of the pit alignment. It is represented by a line of at least 40 small, positive sub-circular anomalies running from south-west to north-east and stopping just before the northern edge of the survey area. Such alignments generally date from the late Bronze Age or early Iron Age, although other prehistoric dates are possible.
