Full Description

{1} Water for the ponds was taken from a small tributary or the River Cherwell, south-west of Upper Charwelton. At this point a channel 2m deep and embanked on its down-slope side, runs south-east along the side of the valley. Middle part has been ploughed and survives only as a broad hollow. Earthwork plans Figs.41 & 41.
