Full Description

{2} To the east of the hollow way there is a series of embanked paddocks or closes, some with possible building platforms at their west ends. The east ends of the closes terminate against a shallow hollow way or back lane running north-west to south-east. Fig.34.

{3} A series of strong magnetic anolmalies indicating a complex of rectilinear enclosures formed by linear ditches and probably represent individual crofts, some of which correlate with well preserved earthworks in the field. It is possible that some of the enclosures may also have associated buried stone boundary walls together with the ditches. Within the possible croft enclosures are a number of possible ditches and pits containing magnetically enhanced material within their fills; suggestive of dumping of material (industrial or hearth rake-out) from the properties.
