Crop/soilmark: Good quality photography; cropmark of a single ring ditch, originally thought to represent a Bronze Age round barrow, subsequent geophysical survey identified a complex of ring ditches set within an enclosure, indicating it was a settlement

Full Description
{1} A ring ditch with a central pit, 15m in diameter. Possibly a windmill site or a barrow. Seen on NCC Aerial Photograph SP9670/24.
{2} Geophysical survey undertaken in 1995 confirmed that the feature was not an isolated monument, but part of a larger settlement [see HER No. 3726].
