Full Description

{1} Two parallel ditches. NCCAP:SP9670/027.

{2} Trial trenching on land at West Street found a probable droveway defined by two ditches 3.0m to 3.70m apart. No dating evidence was recovered from either of the ditches, but it was earlier than subsequent medieval settlement and an Iron Age/Roman date should not be ruled out. This may correspond with a possible prehistoric trackway observed on aerial phtographs.
