Full Description

{1} Cropmark of a sub-rectangular enclosure with rounded corners and a central north-eastern facing entrance.
Excavation in 1992 by the Central Archaeological Service confirmed the presence of the ditched enclosure and entrance. A series of postholes and small pits were also excavated within the enclosure, as well as a few lying outside. No pottery was obtained from the ditch for dating but a small amount of possible early Iron Age pottery was recovered from the internal features.
