Monument record 1731/0/1 - Prehistoric pit alignment

Cropmarks of a possible Prehistoric or Roman pit alignment were visible on air photographs in 1980 and also identified on a geophysical survey undertaken in 2023.

{2} Cropmarks, pit alignment. Recorded on AP in 1980.

{3} Geophysical survey undertaken in 2023 confirmed the presence of the pit alignment and highlighted that it extends beyond the survey area to the north and south.

{4} Aerial imagery shows the pit alignment continuing to the south-east until at least SP9893 6990.
