Full Description

{1} Iron Age settlement, south-east of the village on limestone at 230ft above OD. Air photographs show a small rectangular enclosure some 20m by 30m. On the ground, dark areas of occupation debris with burnt limestone, pebbles and early Iron Age sherds have been noted.

{6} Four undated linear features were identified where the cable trench ran adjacent to the perimeter fence of the Hill Farm Industrial Estate. Three of the ditches were aligned NW-SE, the fourth was aligned NE-SW. None contained any finds, although they may be associated with the Iron Age settlement.
