{2} From TL03317951 air photos taken in 1970 show a pit alignment running north north east to south south west for c.10 yds.

{3} Pit alignment (TL 03317951-03267942) E of the village on Cornbrash at 150ft above OD. It is visible on air photographs for a distance of only 100m orientated NNE-SSW.
