Monument record 583/4/4 - Former Limestone Quarry, south of Easton on the Hill

The slight earthwork traces of an area of former limestone quarrying of uncertain date evident on the southern side of Easton on the Hill immediately to the south of Stamford Roand which has been mapped from lidar images as part of the Rutland Roman Villa project.

{2} Uncertain how accurate the mapping is, and may be schematic in nature.

{4} The slight earthwork traces of an area of former limestone quarrying of uncertain date evident at TF 0101 0384 on the southern side of Easton on the Hill immediately to the south of Stamford Road which has been mapped from lidar images as part of the Rutland Roman Villa project. The site is marked as Quarry (dis) on the current OS map so is likely to be 19th - 20th century in date.
