Full Description

{1} Shows linear pattern of quarrying up to the early C19th on either side of the Stamford Road at Collyweston and Easton on The Hill. The main 'seam' on the north side of the road appears to run under the road, to be exposed again in the area of Easton windmill, where several small pits are shown.

{2} Quarries at TF009037. Remains of workings for the well-known Collyweston Slate, the deposits of which extend into Easton.
