Full Description

{1} Cropmarks of a rectilinear enclosure located at TF 0071 0421 possibly the remains of a later prehistoric settlement enclosure which has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the Rutland Roman Villa project. It measures 44m x 46m, is defined by a single ditch with curved corners and slightly bowed sides and has a possible entrance in the northern end of the eastern side. A spur of ditch extends southwards from the SE corner which is truncated by a modern track at the edge of the field. A second similar enclosure lies 155m to the north of this site within the same field
