Monument record 1281/0/1 - Possible Prehistoric Enclosure

Cropmarks of rectangular enclosure visible on aerial photographs. Trial trench excavation verified the survival of the feature, although the ditches were shallow and did not contain nay finds.

Rectangular enclosure
{1}Ditches apparently forming an approximately square enclosure, some 75 m in diameter (were located by aerial photography).
The possible enclosure ditch was relatively shallow and was not found by the trenches cut on the north side. No dating evidence or occupation debris was found in the filling of ditch, and no definable features were found in the interior of the enclosure.
