Monument record 4252/1/1 - Medieval Windmill Mound

Possible mill mound

{1} Mill mound (?)(SP 794806) on the E edge of the parish, on clay at 140 m. above OD. A mound 1.5 m. high, almost surrounded by a water-filled ditch up to 2.5 m. wide and 1 m. deep, survives.

{3} Mill (earthworks). Mound surrounded by a ditch lying next to a field called 'Mill Field'.

{4} This mound may be that reported as a possible barrow at SP 79418065 by Mr Goft NCC Architects Dept 1958, previously recorded as SP 78 SE (M) 2.
