Full Description

{2} Behind, to the east, is a roughly trapezoidal ditched area divided into paddocks.

{3} A rectilinear ditch system in an area of quieter background response is perhaps suggestive of a change in land-use.
Area 3: The magnetometer data in this extension to the main survey contains additional positive linear anomalies extending the mapping of [M33] to the east and suggesting an internal east-west division: this correlates well with the earthwork and air photo evidence. Possible internal features have only been recorded within the eastern halves of the two enclosures and there is possible evidence for re-cutting of the outer enclosure ditch to the north and west.
Linear low resistance anomalies clearly correspond with the ditched boundaries of four enclosures recorded in the earthwork and NMP surveys. Linear high resistance anomalies are probably formed from the up-cast from the ditches. Some possible internal sub-divisions of the main enclosures are visible as both high and low resistance linear anomalies but the patterning is not clear and no obvious internal detail or evidence of buildings is present.
