Full Description

{1} The former boot and shoe factory was originally a large three-storey L-shaped building with a narrow frontage facing on to the street. A single storey flat roofed extension has since been added to the west side to form a rectangular space at ground floor level. The building is constructed of fed brick with the original metal Crittall windows remaining on north, east and west elevations and the south facing L-shaped block. The south facing frontage of the bulding has stone banking on all three levels ans three central windows at each level; these are flanked by irregular door and window arrangements at each level. There has been some decorative treatment of the frontage with small panes of stained glass above the ground floor doors and floral motifs in the first floor banding.
The building is curretnly owned by Rees Switchgear and has been altered on the interior with the division of the large open factory floor.

{2} A boot and shoe factory of three storeys with a large rear range. It is constructed of brick and has a slate roof. It was built in the early 1890s. This site housed the Accurate Boot Works.
