Full Description

{1} Natural was cut by an extensive flat-based feature with a linear, vertical edge, possibly relating to quarrying. A succession of layers had been deposited within the feature, the undisturbed lower deposits containing medieval pottery, and later deposits containing C17th material, the latter corresponding with the earliest known phase of construction of the hall.
