Full Description

{1} Known operating dates 1849-1866., during which years John Rixon is recorded as a brick and tile maker. (In the latter year he is also a beer retailer! One of the many instances in the early 19th century where brickmaking is not the owners only occupation.) He may have been a member of the family which founded Rixon and Co (Wellingborough).

{2} Exact location of brickyard unknown; operated by John Rixton.
