{2} This is shown on the 1827 Bryant 1" map, next to the Grand Junction Canal, on the Gayton Road from Blisworth. In 1849 George Dix is shown as being a brick and tile maker here as well as victualler at the Navigation Inn, corn and coal and dealer, and farmer.
