Full Description

{1} Iven's Brickyard was operated by the Mawby family.

{2} These two small yards (along with HER 6367/1), each with its own kiln, appear to have worked over the period 1877-1900 (known operating dates). Up to 1885 at least one was operated by George Barnett and the other by William Mawby. Since they were both still in operation in 1900 and by 1894 Mawby is the only brickmaker recorded, it is possible that he took over both works.
