Monument record 9884 - Undated cropmarks, north-west of the A422

Summary
Cropmarks of a possible rectilinear double-ditched enclosure truncated by the course of the A422. A curvilinear ditch is located to the northwest and a further ditch to the north. None of the features were identified by a geophysical survey undertaken in 2020, but parallel ditches identified during a subsequent trial trench excavation may be the enclosure.

Full Description
{2} Geophysical survey undertaken in 2020 did not identify any of the cropmarks.
{3} Trial trench excavation identified two parallel ditches in Trench 5. The ditches broadly correlated with the cropmarks, but were recorded in plan only, so remain undated.
