Description
This report was prepared to inform a planning application for a residential development in South Northamptonshire. It included a search of Northamptonshire Historic Environment Record as well as a further documentary search including historic mapping. The search concluded that although the site sits on the edge of known Prehistoric and Roman activity, the presence of the 20th Century Pigment works and its subsequent demolition would have substantially truncated any previously unrecorded remains of earlier date. No further archaeological works were recommended.
