Full Description
{1} To the north-east of the moat and east of the manor house a hollow way up to 2.5m deep extends down the hillside. It is blocked at the west end, perhaps indicating its re-use as a quarry, but appears to have once run further westwards. Its alignment is continued to the west of the manor house by a lane which meets the end of Main Street, so it may have been an original through-road of the village.
