Full Description
{1} Rectangular earthwork adjacent to Newport Pagnell Road. Shown as marshland in 1885, later mapping indicates that it contained water, suggesting that it was probably a pond. Today the area is infilled to form a large flat rectangular shaped platform which slopes fairly steeply on its north-west side, whilst to the south-west the slope is more gradual. The rectangular earthwork produced high and low magnetic readings normally associated with pipes and areas of modern disturbance.
{2} A large area of confused but extreme magnetic data. It is likely that this represents a large dump, or successive dumpings, of imported material. The dump would appear to have a central concentration.
