Full Description

{1} Detailed survey has confirmed the presence of a concentration of ditch and pit type anomalies in the southwest of this field. Numerous pit type responses have also been noted. Given the context it is likely that some of these are archaeologically significant, although it is difficult to formulate a precise interpretation.
Other weak linear anomalies with varying alignments have also been noted on the interpretation diagram. While an archaeological origin for these cannot be dismissed some may reflect ploughing trends.
The broad band of increased response along the eastern limit of the survey block is due to overhead power lines.

{2} Four-sided ditched enclosure, 35m by 43m, with a possible entrance at the south-east corner. It had been truncated by later features.
