Type and Period (1)

Full Description

{1} 57 flints were recovered from fieldwalking. Most were simple struck flakes. Several core fragments however, together with the random and irregular nature of the flake forms and the numerous core spalls would suggest that they belong predominantly to the Bronze Age period. The tools identified are also in keeping with a Bronze Age date. These comprise an extended end scraper on a broad flake and a hollow scraper. Only one piece was not assignable to this period, a microburin of probable Mesolithic date.
