Full Description

{1} Trench 4: At the northern end of the trench a shallow undated gully ran north - south and was truncated on its southern end by an undated pit. To the south of this was a substantial ditch, measuring 2.5m in width and reaching a depth of over 1m. Pottery, clay pipe bowls and glass recovered from this feature can be dated to the late 17th century. Towards the southern end of the trench a linear running north - south was excavated but provided no dating evidence.

{3} Archaeological excavation identified a medieval road which bisects the site and a medieval post-built structure in the southern area.
