Full Description

{1} The Viatores claimed that two other roads meet here, near Dungee Wood, though the evidence is unsatisfactory and no clear indications have been noted.

{4} A Roman road appears to follow the county boundary between Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire through to Dungee Corner, where it joins the Harrold-Irchester road. It is up to 7m wide, suggesting that it was an important route. It is thought to date from the C1st AD (Margery 1964).
