Summary
The Old Manse and attached chapel (disused). Now used as a house and outbuilding. Founded in 1662 and extended in the 18th and 19th century. The buildings are of regular coursed ironstone with slate roofs. It is a two unit plan of two storeys. The former chapel is attached to the right.

Full Description
{1} Manse and attached congregational chapel, now house and outbuilding. Founded 1662, mainly C18 and C19. Regular coursed ironstone with slate roof. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys. 3-window range of C19 casements under wood lintels. Central C19 part-glazed door under wood lintel has C20 glazed porch. Brick stacks at ends. Former chapel attached to right is of 3-window range of C19 wooden cross windows under wood lintels. Ashlar gable parapet to right. Rear is similar with C19 lean-to addition. Interior not inspected but chapel may retain gallery. Some windows to manse have panelled reveals.
{2} The Manse house, Ashley and its attached congregational chapel is a grade II listed building. The chapel would appear to predate the manse. The chapel was founded in 1662, but the structure dates mainly to the 18th and 19th centuries.
