Summary

Cropmarks of rectilinear enclosures and a large ring ditch have been identified on aerial photographs. A significant number of prehistoric flints have also been found in this area during fieldwalking survey.

Full Description

{1} Cropmarks south-west of the village are said to exist but no details are given.

{2} (SP 870638). Cropmarks (seen by) R Hollowell. August 1964. (Nothing visible on available APs RAF 1960).

{3} NCCAP:SP8763/021.

{4} Fieldwalking 18/05/1975. More than 300 prehistoric flints and 5 probable medieval pot sherds from Field 75. SP 870 639

{5} R Hollowell confirmed the above site. The cropmarks were photographed in spring 1970. Prints not yet available. No surface finds are known to have been made; area now under corn.
