Full Description

{1} 5 C2nd-C3rd urns, 1 containing bones, were found during pipe laying in 1964

{5} Early in May 1964 a member of the Buckingham Archaeological Society engaged in building work on land at Marston St. Lawrence (Grid 535415) found a collection of five jars, the largest of which contained a quantity of bones. In the opinion of Mr Charles Green, these were part of a 2nd or 3rd century roadside burial. In due course the finds will be deposited in the Northamptonshire County Museum.

{6} Further RB finds are in the possession of Mr Barrett who confirmed the site and said that the building work mentioned by Auth {5} was pipelaying. Also he first noticed the site in 1960 and that most years since this he has found potsherds whenever the field has been freshly ploughed. Site at present under young crop.
