Full Description

{2} Possible location for a moated manor or temporary stockaded enclosure. T.C. Welsh describes features that could be defensive earthworks. An embankment and escarpment form a nearly rectangular area at the eastern terminal of the ridge occupied by Castle Close. A ditch extending southwards could be defensive.
