{1} In the course of excavations near Chester House, and in the process of ironstone digging, a number of Roman coins were unearthed, including a Nero Caesar, a large number of Constantines, Fanstina, and a Maximan, many in excellent preservation. Besides the old coins, there was also part of a woman's finger with rings upon it.
