Full Description

{1} Fieldwalking of the south of field 2 and field 3 located only a widespread scatter of generally small, abraded pieces of Roman pottery which would be consistent with the pattern of ancient manuring.
Fieldwalking found a low density scatter of Romano-British pottery in field 3. Sherds may have been introduced by ancient manuring. The lack of archaeology found in the 7 trenches dug implies that this is more likely.
