Full Description

{1} There is a large number of pits in the enclosure. Nearly all of them are within the south western part of the enclosure and are likely to be contemporary with it. This suggests that if there were dwellings within the enclosure, they were at the north eastern end. None of the pits contained pottery. The animal bone remains of this period show that horses, oxen, sheep and pigs were being kept.
