Full Description
{1} Magnetic anomalies which show some of the characteristics of archaeological features could represent silted pits but are not of clear or conclusive significance. The more substantial of them could be no more that an effect of the cultivation features in the area. Others are small and not conclusively distinguishabble from background magnetic activity.
{2} Neither of the substantial pits was seen in the subsequent trial trenching but some of the other anomalies proved to be archaeological features.
