Full Description

{1} The building has been demolished. Today it consists of a large mound of stone covered with soil and very much overgrown. The plough has bitten close to the foundations exposing what looks like shattered roof tiles and the area is scattered with blocks of dressed stone. In the late 1940s the walls were still standing although the stairs had partially collapsed.
Jane Thorp, sister of John, surveyor, married Robert Ashley in 1592. They lived in Westhay Lodge.
