Full Description
{1} An oval shaped pit, one side of which lay beyond the limit of the trench, cut the subsoil above the pond/ quarry (1176/0/15). It was 2.04m wide and 0.38m deep. Large fragments of limestone within the silty clay fill appeared to be a deliberate dump of rubble, together with large sherds of a 17th-century bowl.
