Full Description

{1} Ditch 503 was aligned east - west and had an angular U-shaped profile, 1.3m wide, with an irregular flat base 0.3m deep. Two sherds of Romano British pottery were recovered from its fill.
Feature 507 lay against the eastern edge of the trench and its full extent was not observed. Orientated north-south and curving east it had steeply sloping sides. It is not clear whether it was a ditch or a large pit.
A further Romano-British sherd was found in the clay deposit that the two features were cut into.
