Full Description
{1} The churchyard is largely grassed over and contains numerous gravestones and a number of fine chest tombs, as well as the base of a (scheduled) churchyard cross. The churchyard is bounded to the north and east by a stone revetting wall, to the west by a dry stone wall 1.2m high, and to the south by the high brick boundary wall of Blisworth House.
Three brick built vaults were seen but not disturbed during excavation works for new drainage. The vaults were dated by the nature of their brickwork to the 19th or early 20th century. Numerous fragments of human bone were also recovered although none could be assigned to a specific grave cut, nor dated. The absence of burials in the east part of the trench may indicate a past change in the boundary of the churchyard.
