Full Description
{1} Very faint linear anomalies close to the central flower bed of the south west lawn could represent a hexagonal flower bed shown on Dryden's plan. Low resistance anomalies on the north west lawn appear to represent some of the rectangular flower beds around the outside of the central flower bed as depicted on Dryden's plan. A barely discernable arrangement of linear anomalies arounf the central flower bed could repreesnt an unrecorded garden layout.
Two high resistance anomalies are likely to be responses to compacted earth but could also relate to the formal garden, possibly the bases of large planters - although they do not conform to the known plan of the formal garden.
